The Program I made for Check bullshitters
3 weeks ago I added a fuction to my site.
The program works that after someone signs up with a check they cannot login untill they are manually approved. The database knows its a check since we have CCBill do a form post and check signups the sub ID starts with a 6. Now that I have been doing this for 3 weeks I can report some stats. First take a look what happens when someone signs up with a check and they try to login: http://www.hotlocalescorts.com/memberlogin.asp User: frosty Password: charles Now that I used it for over 3 weeks here is some interesting stuff: Every single bad check that was submitted the user used a free email service 99% are hotmail and yahoo. I noticed that at least 20% that I can confirm signed up using a credit card after reading that warning. (I noticed they used the same user name and pass as when they did the bullshit check) I did not have a single person bitch about this. And noone that emailed from a real account used a bad check. Now this does not stop them from signing up with bullshit checks but it does save me money on my BW bill. The only reason I am removing the check option is because affiliates asked me to. In the past 3 weeks I got about 300 check signups. |
Yea, sort of a different way to put a condom on your BW :thumbsup

Damn that page would scare the fuck out of me with a good check. :1orglaugh
By the way, that one signup I sent to you when I tested some traffic awhile back rebilled. I'm at 100%, Woohoo! |

When we did manual checks online I posted the following:
BEFORE SUBMITTING, BE SURE YOU ENTERED ACCURATE INFORMATION! BE SURE YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS IN YOUR ACCOUNT! BE SURE YOU ARE USING A VALID CHECKING ACCOUNT! IF YOUR CHECK BOUNCES OR IS RETURNED FOR AN INVALID OR CLOSED ACCOUNT IT WILL BE REPORTED TO THE NATIONAL CHECK FRAUD CENTER! Then when they clicked the link for the NCFC it would lead them to here: http://www.ckfraud.org/systems.html :thumbsup |
The guys that log on with us from @Yahoo or @hotmail e-mails usually turn out to be surfers. :BangBang:

Good idea :thumbsup But damn I missed out.. I want to see that page... And the 300 check signups -- what % of them were fraudulent? Or was that after you scrubbed them? |

about 67 never emailed meaning it was bullshit and it ended up showing in ccbill that the check didnt clear |

I would think more people would have complained that they didn't get instant access, but I guess when hunting for escorts its a little differenet than dick-in-hand surfers in a rush to get at your content... or maybe not. Anyway good deal man :thumbsup ... If I didn't have a splitting headache I could think of ways to improve/automate it a bit more even. There's always tomorrow... |

EscortBiz,
How do you manage your members? Do you have your own database backend with usernames, sub# etc. ? |

CCBill especially have some awesome tools for that, with the only thing that seems to be missing is a way to pass and receive back non-ccbill data for your own tracking. Seems you can only do that if not using their affiliate system. |
