Moved out when i was 18...just think of all the bank i could have saved if i as still there. Average is 3500 a month for the house i bought a few years ago plus utilities. Before that i was paying 1500 a month for rent for 6 years plus 500 a month is utilities...so lets see how much that is.

i feel the same way dude,I'm 20...I really wouldnt feel like a loser living with my parents at this age but when i started making a little dough it just seemed like the next step...if I could have it back I would have stayed with them the past 2 years and had it NICE right now,instead of good :glugglug

i think it depends on where you live ,CA and New York are expensive places to rent compared to places like Florida

Everywhere I've lived has been home. Haven't lived with the parents for years, though.

We (bf and I) are looking to buy a house so my mother says we can live with them for awhile to save more for a big downpayment. We'd only pay for food, storage for our stuff and the car.

One problem, we would not be "allowed" run our business from there because my mother "doesn't like it" and "feels it's wrong".

Well gee mother if we can't run our business then how are we supposed to make money for a downpayment. :feels-hot

Needless to say we declined.

Not that we want to deal with living there anyway.
