Anyone do bulk email in mainstream biz in here?
 

Im looking to do bulk emailing in mainstream not porn. Have you had and success with it? Post your response rate if you can.

I was affilate manager for a insurance dot com, we did insurance quotes. Email marketing sucked for the most part unless it was very very targeted. Did one with a marketing company they did your daily horoscope newsletter, we were in one million emails got like 25 quotes out of it. Did another untargeted 5 million emails got 136 quotes. When it was targeted it was 5-10%. response.

You guys are should have done the folllowing bro just like in the adult market. If you get 25 quotes out of 1 MM emails why not send 1 MM per day? and get 25 x 30 quotes?
Or how about sending 1 MM per hour and get 25 x 24 x 30 quotes? You are missing the point, I believe.

Because the company who we did the deal with makes millions off of email marketing. They felt the return was too poor to waste their email addresses on, so maybe your missing the point.

I've done mainstream and done quite well at it... they are bit harder about "bulking" the ppl I work with only accept optin emails with timestamps and ip's.. and you need a site with a privacy policy.. but you can send to more ppl and get less heat.. totally worth it....

I got at least 400 of these iraq playing card spams! Dammit I didn't join even one of those damn spam lists! Yet out of 15 email addresses I use, at least 10 of them got these friggen spams! I'm talking 20+ of these a day! I still get a couple a day to my various email addresses and I'm sick of it! (all adult webmaster email addresses I might add)

All our email severs FORCE uninstall instructions at the end of every message that goes through our network, and we have a very rigorous anti-spam policy. If you got any spam, it wasn't from me.

Never said the spam came from you lol I'm just ranting about those damn iraq playing cards.

And it doesn't matter if you force uninstall instructions in your messages, why should ppl who never subscribed be forced to waste their time to unsubscribe?

I'm not just talking your list, I'm talking about all spam lists in general.

Maybe it's not a big deal for those that use their email for personal use but when I only use mine for business it pisses me off that I have to weed through about 100-200 spam mails/day to get to the important stuff. I'm ranting about all spam mails here, don't take it personally!

Iraq cards, dating sites, land on the moon (wonder how much it costs to build a house on that $29.99 land I can buy??) lol., mortgage crap, questions like "Do you have water in your basement" I don't even have a basement! or my favorite stupid subject line of the week: ANSWER YOUR PHONE... stupid shit like that rant rant rant... I can now spot these stupid spam subject lines from a mile away and delete, delete, delete like crazy and HOPE I don't accidentally delete someting important.

Do these spammers really think that "most" ppl who get an email saying ANSWER YOUR PHONE will read that email once they realize it's not personal? Nevermind click a link in it geesh.

Bottomline is ppl are selling my friggen adult webmaster email addys from various places I submit (and probably sponsors too) and I think it's disgusting. Yeah that was the point of my original rant!

Oh and almost forgot the emails I get daily trying to sell me PORN hello Einstein, I'm a porn webmaster why would I join a PORN SITE?? However on second thought, I think someone is being real shitty and selling adult webmaster addys to porn sites knowing full well they are scamming them because I'm sure they don't tell them that they are porn webmaster emails, know what I mean??

Curious to see what list(s) you run? Or is that a secret :)
