Where to market my "obscene" business?
 

Hi,

Anyone have experience trying to get initial traffic on a very niche website? Any insight on how long it takes, or what it takes?

I have a standalone website in a proven but still very niche market. (Think foot fetish, but even nichier). I've launched just this month.

I've been making my own ads on Insta for my new website, using hashtags to target my market. For just starting out, 400 followers and 70-110 likes per post wasn't too terrible. I also built an email list of nearly 300, with a above average open/click rate as well!

My conversion rates on the website aren't too bad either. But I'm only getting about 150 visits to my site daily. So even a decent conversion rate on 100-200 visitors is peanuts. I've gotten many complements on the website and content. It loads fast, looks clean. I've sold a little of everything so far, which I guess is a good sign.

Apparently some social do-gooder reported my ass and my IG got deleted, and that is definitely making me feel some sort of way. I already am not anywhere close to where I need to be, and now I'll have to start over on IG.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed with getting my site out there? Should I just keep re-making Instagram accounts? Post trailers to random porn sites? Message people directly? Am I being impatient?

Oh God - why social media?

"think foot fetish" is extremely good keywords on google - I'd be trying other things than social media to bring "quality" traffic. The other option is that just making ads might not be enough if you're site isn't SEO ready.

Now for some reason you didn't say what your nice is - obviously you maybe close to be banned - and if you're relying on Insta then you could be setting yourself up for a huge disappointment - try as I said to branch out, I'm sure it's not a niche that hasn't been explored before - unless it's illegal. If you're not able to say what it is - try looking at a competitor and see where they are getting their backlinks from. If you need help doing that I'm more than happy to do it no charge

Is it video based? Have you tried setting up channels on all the tubes out there?

That's where all the eyeballs are.

Keep working on your email list.... Eventually build that up to have tens of thousands of people.

What kind of conversion ratios do your customers see from mailing former members?
