Damn Tour Text Thieves
 

Its amazing how popular our tour text is. Every couple of months I enter snippits of it into Google, Inktomi, Altavista and find dozens of people who've ripped it off. Most of the time it appears to be a small time amateur, but in a couple of cases its been on sites belonging to medium sized sponsors. The people I contact are usually pretty good about removing it, but it still pisses me off to have to spend an afternoon doing this. :feels-hot

why not trademark it if its that good?

I know what you mean - I use the words "free" and "join" on my side, and now I see them all over the place

ya, what kinda text are you talking, three word phrases that a million people think of simultaneousely, or blocks of text, or whole stories.

NetRodent meant entire tour text pages I am sure. And he's right . . . it happens all the time.

I'm only talking about large blocks of text (ie multiple sentences).

when i make galleries i always cut n paste blocks of text from the sponsor i advertise , is that a problem?
