WTF Is Up With Google??
 

Ok so i have this site, its been a PR3 for some time now, and #1 for its keyword.

I recently added some nice linkbacks (about 60) and expected a PR jump ....

Today i look, and it is a PR0 but still has its #1 spot for the keyword.


Is this normal? Does google zero you out prior or between updates?

Or does a PR0 mean i am now banned? But then why would i still be #1 for the KW?

I don't know what the hell they are doing.

I have two domains that have been jumping back and forth from number 1 for the desired keyword, to not being listed at all. This happens multiple times during the day, depending on when I search for the keyword. They show as PR0, or sometimes as "current page is not ranked by google". I don't do any weird spamming techniques, I just link to them off of my other domains.

Fuck if I know what they are doing.

same thing here ... i do alot of linktrades with other WM's ... but i dont spam or cloak or anything.

Cant imagine why id be banned ... but that PR0 scares me a bit, heh

maybe there's ctrue about those rumors: new algos from stanford (pagerank) ... floating updates...

ok someone explain to me how a PR is achieved with google. I have a 4 on two of my tgp's and a 6 on a resource site that I built and maintain and even a 4 on my design site that isn't even finished yet. So, i'm not getting what it's all about evidently because if I know how to make it better i'm having grand ideas of what it could be. Also, is there a way to do a search through google or whereever and determine exactly what keywords your site is pulling good rank on?
