Other alternative ways to accept payments?

Losing Paypal has cost us money. We are working to setup Epassporte now and I am looking for other methods to accept money.

Has anyone used C2it, Yahoo payments or any other methods and successfully integrated them into a store?

(Please don't try to sell me Sormpay anything amrketing with a multilevel for accepting money scares me.)

I don't think you can use Yahoo for adult Probono, I seem to recall someone posting a copy of their rules which excluded adult --

I'm not sure that Western Union would work for the amounts that you guys work with, but I'd definitely look into it --

I'll also keep an ear to the ground and if I hear anything that sounds promising, you know I will pass it on.

The more legitimate options for payment that you have the more money you can bring in, that is for sure --

Even if Yahoo accepts adult they have a cap on the amount of money you can receive in a period, not a good thing.

Thanks as always Kim.

Why did PayPal stop adult payments? That losses them money as well.

If you don't have good fraud control, what you lose will greatly outweigh what you profit.

arial 05-19-2003 02:56 PM

That's true never thought of that.

Neteller is big in the casino/sportsbook business. I have no idea if they accept porn transactions.

Kim, I read in the new issue of Klixx magazine . There was a article ,the reason paypal bailed was the lawsuit with Naughty Auctions. Thats what their lawyer stated, which if it is the reason sucks lol.

Nothing against Klixxx or attorneys but being up there in SF with the Paypal guys and hearing their replies to specific questions makes me 100% sure it had nothing to do with an auction and everything to do with fraud control...

I tend to agree with you:) You see I am not always a pain in the ass lol.

Sweetie, you're not a pain in the ass -- you ask questions and sometimes just dont like the answers so you keep on asking hoping for a different answer I am guessing ;)

Quite frankly, I was blown away completely by the answer that the head of fraud control from Omaha gave in response to a particular question. Just blown away. If we ran our business like that there would be NO adult industry since the cc's would have shut us all down years ago.

Paypal has some very strong points, and there are parts of their business where they truly excel. I was impressed with alot of what they do, and how quickly they've gotten to the size they have become; if I were in charge there, I'd dump adult as well, since it's a tremendous pain in the ass from many viewpoints.

Of course had I realized that Paypal was set up the way they were in adult, I'd have opened about 3 dozen paysites using them to process and walked away with a ton of money ;)

I've already asked NeTeller, they don't accept adult. Too bad, they were starting to look like a good alternative to Paypal too.
