Domain Registration Question
 

Hey,

I wonder if who you register your domain with has any impact on the speed your site loads at, to a degree. I was using the web site load speed tool found here:

http://webperf.org/breakdown.html

I found that domains that I register with a less expensive domain registry seem to have a longer DNS time than others.

I have noticed that some of my sites registered with this domain registry load pretty slow. So does the old saying "you get what you pay for" apply to this too?

Considering they all share the same root servers, I'm not sure how this could be a factor really. It'd more have to do with ghetto DNS servers, no?

lol what kind of shady registrar is that? I have never heard of something like that.. I think all the domains are stored on a central ICANN machine.. the registrars just resell them.
