do you think america is next?
with the very recent rash of attacks/suicide bombings in foreign countries, do you think we are next in line? if so do you think this is something that will occur shortly? do you think this attack will occur on the east coast or west coast this time?
i am waiting for someone to strap a bomb to themselves and blow up a rather large mall here. talk about what a blow to the ecomony that would be. in all honesty, if something were to happen here again, i think i would move to north dakota or someplace like that. i got out of the trade center (back in 93) five minutes before the first bombing and something like that makes you really think! |
It makes you wonder what this world is coming too. America is always the first to lend a helping hand too countries that need it. Its hard to say that someone won't walk down a NYC street with a bomb strapped to them and set it off in a crowd but we can't stop living our lives because of this. Saddam and Bin Laden want that and we're not giving it to them no matter what, we're stronger than they are and our people have the freedom to speak against the government when they feel something is not right well over there in the middle east you get put in jail or even killed over it.
The government is all screwed up here......for example: the AIDS breakout in Africa. The drug company that makes the AZT is now cutting the price of the medication over there so the people can afford it, like DUH what about the people HERE that can not afford it that are just lying around waiting to die. Clinton really made a boo boo when he did away with the job that checks the where abouts of immigrants when they come into this country. He was too busy playing hide the cigar in Monica. Once they were in they were free to do what they wanted because no one checked to see if they were attending school or working while they were here. Now students coming in from other countries have I believe 24 hours to check into class or they will be returned to their home country and thats the way it should be NO exceptions! Our country became too relaxed over this whole security issue with our borders, airports, etc. It's time to wake up people, what's next? :warning |
Don't live in fear.
We just saw Bowling for Columbine and it was very interesting. Americans were frightened to come to London while we were at war with the IRA. So they stayed at home in nice safe places Chicago and Detroit. Be fearless and then they know they cannot win. |
it's not so much fear as it is preparation. with the threat level once again raised, i start to wonder if the worry should be legit or is this a way for the administration to a) take the focus off of our ailing economy or b) try to gain support for the upcoming campaign run. history has shown that those administrations who have engaged in war have not been reelected however this is a quite different situation. we have a "war" persay that has yet to end. bin laden has not been captured; neither has saddam. it could be said that both are dead and if that were the case (i highly doubt it) then you have to go after the next tier. that takes time so my question is, is this "threat" legit or is the administration trying to insure reelection on the premise that their job isnt complete yet.
with the technology that we have, we cant find 2 people (one being an overly tall middle eastern male), what does that say? |
