How many uniques do you send to test a sponsor?

How many uniques do you send to test a sponsor? I send 3,000 and if there are no sales, I stop.. how about you guys?

ry0t 05-18-2003 03:50 AM

same. about a half week worth of uniques.

edit: but i havent changed sponsors in over a year. ARS baby!.

edit #2: make that I have never actually changed sponsors. haha

iwantchixx 05-18-2003 03:50 AM

3k is too soon to tell. Sometimes the surfer comes back and signs up later.. Give it 10k targeted and if no sale, move on immediately. Advertising makes a big diff too.

IE: If you tell the surfer they will find amateur lesbians but the tour shows babe lesbians you are unlikely to get a sale.

I test with SE traffic now, If 3k hits of SE cannot convert, there is major problems in your advertising.

inthestars 05-18-2003 03:57 AM

I will have to try ARS.. but what programs though?

Porn Mickey 05-18-2003 05:13 AM

10k

yall 05-18-2003 05:15 AM

I think 10k is insane. 3500 max for me.

slapass 05-18-2003 06:16 AM

i hate that one in 2k shit but i go 4k to give the odds a chance to catch up. 10k with no sale and i would freak.

lyno 05-18-2003 06:33 AM

just a newbees opinion
i have sent about 5 or 6k to some sponsors i tried out without a single sale. but then, bam, i had 3 sales on a single day

i know, a 1:2000 rate is not bright either, but i am aware that i still have to learn allot when it comes to making money

FlyingIguana 05-18-2003 06:46 AM

if a site can't convert within 2k, then i send my traffic elsewhere. should see at least 4 sales from that amount. if they shave it could be 500-1000 before i send traffic elsewhere. depending on how they count clicks.

Trax 05-18-2003 06:50 AM

huh??
if out of 500 targetted hits there is NO signup i will never visit them again

if i couldnt send 1 signup out of 10k hits i would def kill myself
just an advice for some guys here (unless you send 200000 hits to a sponsor which should make at least a few signups ;))

It all depends on the quality of your traffic.

CashGordon 05-18-2003 07:14 AM

it totally depends on traffic, I've seen 1:50 conversion on some webmasters and 1:1000 on some webmasters too. If you have a buddy website and stick on a few sites you have more signups. And try niche sites, different kind, classic porn websites does not convert very well.

EscortBiz 05-18-2003 08:09 AM

1500 and thats it, my traffic is not from BS tgp's my surfers are in most cases wealthy and if they see something they like remotly they buy.

Some people here whos program I promote can tell you about my traffic.

LiveDose 05-18-2003 09:52 AM

1K-5K depending on the traffic I'm sending.

Theo 05-18-2003 09:55 AM

it depends the traffic source and the niche

Va2k 05-18-2003 09:59 AM

Cindyff 05-18-2003 12:53 PM

Cindy xx

:winkwink:

Why 05-18-2003 01:04 PM

10k. if they are performing really shitty at 3-5k i will usually redirect.

StupidNewbie 05-18-2003 01:07 PM

10k

KRL 05-18-2003 01:09 PM

25,000

Agreed ARS's site's are indeed some of the very best converters around. Especially their Gay sites.

Maca 05-18-2003 07:22 PM

Theres actually a mathematical principle, which without getting into the maths of it, means that where you expected to see 25 sales theres about 67% probability that your result will vary between 20 - 30 sales and 95% probability that the result will be between 15 - 34 sales.

So whether you normally expect 5,000 or 25,000 surfers to attain 25 - you measure on that sample. If you are outside of those ranges you are either doing VERY well indeed or REALLY poorly

Maca 05-18-2003 07:25 PM

Whoops make that 15 - 35 in the second example.

2 times 5 (5 - the square root of the expected 25 for anyone wondering.)
