What keyboard do you use?
So my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard gave up the ghost after 13 months.
I'm looking for a replacement, maybe something more aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic curve or split keyboard a must, like keys which travel a bit but doesnt have to be mechanical. What do you like or recommend for a keyboards? |

I agree with the previous comment. As simple as possible - that's what works for me. Something similar to a laptop keyboard.

Oh the big keyboard war:
Men prefer the ones that have "big backspace" Women prefer ones with "big enter" ... toy lovers go for mechanical ones. |
I've always loved my Logitech Illuminated. The soft click and the number pad are just right for me.
I probably should look into a split board for my next one, though. Starting to get some nerve twinges in my wrists.... |

The best keyboard that I can hands down type the fastest on is either the keyboard on my Toshiba laptop, or the kind posted above by Kuprum, the keys look similar and just glide. |
The one attached to my laptop :1orglaugh

The boring ass default HP that came with the rig
|
The one that came with my mac pro. It's boring but it gets the job done. It takes around 1-2 hrs to fully charge and lasts for weeks.

Logitec g512 - really heavy and solid keybord. Own it for more than 1 year and I am fully satisfied with it. Due to mechanical switches it is loud, but I use headphones all the time :1orglaugh

I had microsoft ergonomic keyboard like 10-15 years ago, and it was best keyboard ever, but for some reason new version does not look good as that one so i never bought new version. And i got used to laptop keyboard so no point to bother.

I love my Wireless Logitech keyboard which lights up with hand proximity detection and automatic backlighting. I can work in the dark, it is awesome :winkwink:

I use an old school light up mechanical Alienware keyboard. I am an old school gamer, mostly Call Of Duty, both of my PCs are Alienware, and I need a keyboard I can abuse.
I just repalced mine last month actually. |

Of all the keyboards I have ever used in my long life, my little white apple bluetooth is my favourite.

GMMK Pro. It weighs about 5 pounds and it feels really great to pound on. Also volume knob.

I've ordered https://kinesis-ergo.com/keyboards/advantage2-keyboard/ so hopefully it is really helpful. Kinda similar to the Maltron. |

i know itīs slightly off topic, being a laptop and not just the keyboard, but is this new "With an antimicrobial coating" a new thing on laptops and keyboards?
Acer have this.. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/LA/conten...rendurourbann3 it has gorilla glass like phones do, this for a bright screen, and this new antimicrobial coating, I take it with the covid pandemic. are there any keyboards with it? |
I am surprised how many people are using laptops for work.
|
I buy 4 at a time off ebay, and that's where I ended after trying every keyboard no matter what the cost, they're all shit, treat them as disposable.

To sit in an office with a pc, would be a nightmare... although, saying this, we do have an older pc, was going to rig it up to the screens around the apartment and on the roof terrace. You canīt always rely on the connections or logically bluetooth and wireless. Again, Laptop worked better for us, itīs running an I7 with split graphics and 16gb ram, 1tb hd, we use many ext. drives, and shall be putting a ssd in when itīs needed, at the moment, runs perfect editing a movie & editing images on 2 programs and updating our sites or running cam all at the same time, so no need for anything else :thumbsup |

But also, why just have one or the other? My desk is a big table. 1/4th are 2 laptops, 1/4th is a big desktop, and half of it is a Lego city.. :upsidedow btw, I still play The Typing of the Dead to keep up on my WPM and accuracy, it's great and is abandonware/free now. ;) |
A shitty one . . . the fight in it keeps me creative.
|
I'll bet someone on here uses one of these: :upsidedow
