Any point in posting a thread like this? This trash is what keeps me from visiting often cause 99% of the stuff here is dumb shit being psoted for absolutely no reason except to see your name on the main page as creating a thread.

O it goes much deeper than that. It is a commentary on marketing practices and the entire online experience. A thinker for sure, but worth it. But hey, let me make it easier on you.

My returning traffic has tripled on PetiteLiLFlower.com just since we removed all consoles. Our bookmark traffic has tripled. Those are numbers that I cannot scoff at. To top it off our signup ratio has gone from 1:1200 to 1:520 (uniques) from our tour.

In hindsight, everyone here keep up with the popups and consoles. It makes my returning traffic mo' betta.

I'm going to go get ready for the Seattle BBQ now.

On one of my sites yesterday I had about 50 passwords posted:

(The pass file is before the web - so we have some work to do finding out how they got so many)
This is a really small site about my wife - She gets about 10 sign ups a day - About 200 bucks on average -
As soon as we found out about the pass being posted, I put in my best redirect page.
This page includes many pop ups and eventually kills your computer -
I left it there only for a couple of hours and my wife made around 8k$ I eventually took the page out as I did not want to piss off her members - But I can tell you this, there are thousands of surfers who will start up there computers tomorrow and will dial into a site without realising it!
So more bucks will roll in!
I actually hate pop ups and unders - But they really are usefull tools when need be!
