Leonard Dorin Doroftei "The Lion" vs Paul Spadafora "The Pitsburgh Kid"

Much to the disliking of Interbox GM Yvon Michel, two of the judges in the May 17 lightweight unification clash between WBA champ Leonard Dorin and IBF champ Paul Spadafora in Spadafora's hometown of Pittsburgh will be Americans.
The judges won't save Spadafora from a convincing beating if the Romanian is good enough to deliver one.

For the match Leonard Doroftei (Dorin) will receive a $550,000 check.

The game will be on HBO tonight.

The fight was entertaining. I figured it would be a draw since it was in Pittsburg and to set up a nice rematch. Neither one of these guys will ever be great but never the less a fun match to watch.

admit it, Doroftei was way way better than "the pittsburgh lady".
I was very dissapointed.... it was obvious that he's the winner ...

it was a draw because there's a BIG interrest to keep this spadafora puppet #1 @ IBF lightweight in usa, they invested to much money to see him falling in a day, crashed by a romanian.

can't win with an american referee, 2 american judges and one judge from panama. one of the judges should have been from denmark but he had problems with the visa (?!?!?!) .

time will tell, "The Lion" said with his well known modesty that he would love to fight again with spadafora anywhere but not in USA...

I had 116-112 Dorin... pretty much the same score as HBO.

We lost our WBC 168lbs belt one month ago (I was in germany for the Lucas-Beyer fight and most of the germans said they had Lucas winning also)

Dorin was clearly robbed...

Spadafora looked like a bitch out there, getting punched square in the face at couple occasions...
