Why does the draft make your pass worthless?

Because single game tickets will be $10 and we will win 12 games during entire season.
Francis passed on every big name there was.

My team loses the last round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs every fucking year. Gets you almost there then fucking fails.

Ron Francis / management made some interesting choices. I think their D is pretty decent, but if Yanni Gourde is your #1 center, I'm not so sure Seattle will ice a high scoring team. The goalie position is interesting too. Both Vitek Vancek and Chris Driedger had some decent outings in the few games they played. It remains to be seen if either can replicate and improve upon theirperformances. Let's face it, even with Daccord, Seattle basically picked backup goalies who may or may not become #1's.

I have to think Francis is going to use cap space and flip some of the D they chose, and possibly one of the backup goalies, to try and improve the team. The upcoming Free Agency and the regular Draft should paint a clearer picture of the team Seattle will ice this season.

It's an expansion team, right? You likely weren't going to see them in the finals anyway.
