Large number of refunds all of a sudden

    Tech Large number of refunds all of a sudden

    I've had 12 sales nulled as refunds in the last 3 days, out of a total of 27 (refunds/chargebacks) for the entire year. This is from 3 different sponsors.

    Is there any likely reason for this, or just a co-incidence? Sales and traffic have been declining a bit since January. Traffic sources appear to be the same.

          I guess this is one time it's good I hardly ever make sales anymore? lol. Most of my money is long-term rebills. CB is still good money and out of the 10 years promoting CB I think I've only seen one chargeback or refund.

              Chargebacks way down, refunds way up. Been this way all damn year.

              Traffic slowing too. I am guessing it's Mother's Day Holiday, people starting to travel again and people just bored with online and looking for things to do in the "real" world once restrictions lift this summer.

              Just a guess tho.

                  Well yeah, I'm still scarred by a webcam company once threatening to report me to the FBI because I sent them two sales that were chargedbacked, lol.

                  I got another 2 refunds from one of the sponsors today and I've sent a support request to them. Last year I made them 241 sales and had 7 refunds. The last 6 days I've sent them 3 sales and had 6 refunds. I looked at the refunds for that sponsor in the NATS dashboard and they all appear to be for a monthly subscription that was taken out last September. So he was rebilled 6 times and suddenly they all get refunded.

                  I guess I was wondering if any other webmasters were experiencing the same thing right now.

                      This is extremely common. One member refunding all his transactions is not a "trend" or even a lot of refunds, that is essentially one refund.

                          Happens a lot, especially more during inflation times.

                              If you're promoting other sites, it may be hard to get accurate and full data. Perhaps those refunds were from the same person trying to sign up several times with the sponsor refunding the fraudulent transactions.
