-I sent out the stuff for 2850 USD
-I lost that 2850 USD payment (its chargeback of course)
-I had to pay 8 x 15 USD of a chargeback fees
-My CCprocessor changed my onetime transaction limit to 500 USD(because I am high risk account now)
-and few minutes ago CCprocessor informed me that they keep 10000USD (in words tenthousandsUSdollars) as a holdback of my balance

the owner of CC was a honest person - some fucker stole his CCinfo.I would bet he must be one of us - probably working for some adult company and has access to CC info
We send out stuff via email or ftp so doesn't matter about delivery adress

X37375787 05-16-2003 08:37 AM

NyDahl, when dealing with any large transaction always voice verify and always record the conversation.
Start out with Hello, This is [whatever] from [company] and I am trying to reach [FirstLast Name] to verify the sale of [Products].

Then you have a legal record when you sue their stupid ass.

Or if its a frauder you at least have their real telephone number. If the person on the phone says they have no idea hwo it is or what yer talking about credit the sale immediately and obviously dont send out product.

This wouldn't help me in this case. That fucker had full CC info including adress, phone number full name etc - of course he could change phone number (its not fixed with CC info to verify)
Also this could save me product but not chargeback fees and fucking 10K holdback
anyway you are right :thumbsup

Joesho 05-16-2003 08:51 AM

Nuke the cheaters house!

Machete_ 05-16-2003 08:52 AM

$2850 over email - to a Tanzania E-mail ..

then you are asking for trouble man - that is a risky business stradegy :-/

easyfun 05-16-2003 08:53 AM

I bought some stuff off you a couple of weeks ago - I can't remember you asking for any web site info of where I would post the pics -
Would be a good idea to record this along with all transactions as this gives you the chance to verify names etc.
It's a real bummer getting caught like that.
I personally found your service very helpful (You had a few problems with your site and when I couldn't download the content you imediately uploaded to one of my servers -
Nice job, guys!
Hope you get your hands on the crook that stuffed you

tony286 05-16-2003 08:56 AM

To me I would ship any order over $200 via fedex or ups and they have to sign for them if they want to pay by cc. If they want them quicker they can send you a wire or a money order or wait for their check to clear before sending the product.

Its not possible - everybody needs stuff in few minutes after they purchase adn also not all of you are willing to pay fedex fees (its about 60 USD from here to US) and I can't pay fedex fees for 200 USD order

Processors don't want to be left holding the bag. It's understandable considering the nature of porn transactions compared to other transactions they handle. Its a high risk industry and everybody tries to cover their butts anyway they can.

Several years back when online processing was still in its infancy same type situation happened to me. We started processing more than the banks had set as monthly limits on our online merchant account, because of rapid growth, and they call up one day and start saying how we have to stop growing so fast. Imagine that dilema. You're building a new industry and the bank is saying slow down. They wanted us to put up $1 Million in personal collateral for every $1/2 million of transactions we had on balance through any 6 month period where someone could charge back. A fucking 2 to 1 ratio. It was insane.

First off its pictures not serum for a snake bite lol. They can wait a couple of days. Or work the shipping into your price, which is better paying 60 to ship it or taking charge backs.

12clicks 05-16-2003 01:24 PM

there's no such thing as fraud on the internet. I've heard you punks say that over and over about cheating webmasters. I'm sure Nydahl didn't supply the proper stuff or something.

pornguy 05-16-2003 01:45 PM

Nydahl ,

Sorry to hear that I have purchased from you many times and have gotten great photos and service... It really sucks that some asshole does that and then drives your prices up on us all...

Have you ever thought of using digimarc on the photos?? That way you can track the photos. It is expensive, but it may help you.

Once again sorry to hear!!!

Tala 05-16-2003 01:48 PM

Dude, that fucking sucks. :(

Wish there was something that could be done to help.
