Adult video streaming CAC (customer acquisition cost)
Does anybody know industry averages for CAC (customer acquisition cost)?
I'm starting a new venture, an intelligent adult video streaming service, and raising a pre-seed round. An important part of the business model is how much it will cost to acquire a customer. We haven't launched yet and won't have subscription for many months still. I'm struggling to find data on this. I see Netflix CAC is around $50, but not sure how that translates to the adult industry. If anyone is interested in what we're doing, I'm happy to share more. We're planning on launching this Summer, but you can learn more and sign up to get early access and other perks at porndora.com. |
Once you factor in sponsorships and advertising and affiliate cuts including supporting all those endeavors, $400 to $450ish per paying customer (not per free join.) Netflix has a lower possible amount a customer might spend than an adult streaming service where users can tip and the sky (or Fincen) is the limit, so, if you have the money to play in that space, don't be scared off by the CAC.
