It's hard to remember to use it if you aren't used to using it. Also the ones that take random screenshots are a big privacy concern. If the guy switches to skype window for 30 seconds to read a message his wife sent him about she wants to take a shit on his chest or something and it happens to randomly screenshot at that time...

That can be solved easily these days - using PC only for work, and for everything else there is mobile. And there is also per finished project model instead hourly rate which eliminate need for this totally .

They can still cheat the system that way, with 2 desktop or 2 laptop (one for work and one for movies to watch) and mobile for chat.

I did have an issue in the past with the timeline not respected. It does help to give good insight about when they are actually working on your project.

I've had remote workers since 2009 and if I came at them with shit like this ... just tell them what you need done and if they don't do it for X number of times they clearly don't want to be there, so part with them and get someone who does. If you want them to spend all day googling "How to Fuck Time Doctor" then use shit like this.
