I like that term they use: "Pro-Family" like, who the fuck is "Anti-Family"?

X37375787 05-15-2003 06:53 PM

lol nice one. too bad the attorneys that deal with the 23k complains annually are the ones that are happy members of pornsites.

little conflict of interests it seems.:Graucho

MattO 05-15-2003 06:53 PM

And the ones in that last story shouldn't have used the US Mail to send out their product.

KRL 05-15-2003 07:06 PM

wtf? ripping people off is a lot different than selling some porn videos. it doesn't hurt anyone.

Only 23,000 complaints. Just maybe they started looking at the complaints and kept seeing simple sex or nudity and came to the conclusion that these people are a little OUT of touch.

Obscenity is kind of hard to prove, and even MORE vague of a law.

Keep complaining idiots!!!

Gutterboy 05-15-2003 07:27 PM

Makes me glad I didn't follow through on the first ever paysite idea I had.

I was going to call it something like "Extreme Obscenity", and have shit eating, piss drinking, extreme bondage, double anal fisting, beastiality... the nastier the better. lol

"An Affair of the Mind: One Woman's Courageous Battle to Salvage Her Family From the Devastation of Pornography,"

her husband is addicted to porn, and of course it's the PORN to blame, her husband has no free will, no choice.

Marcus Aurelius 05-15-2003 07:40 PM

Seems like the psycho bible thumping bitch spearheading the campaign of, hold your breath, 23,000 complaints, is using the shit to promote her shove my ethics down your throat books, notice the link from her name to her books purchase page online.

We need to go back to the days of feeding people like this to the lions whos with me?

Put it out in Vegas, a huge coliseum in the middle of the desert, with neon flashing and flames buring in huge cauldrons atop the stone walls, throngs of onlookers, girls on chains dancing naked for our pleasure as dipshits who cant mind their own business and keep there laughable beliefs out of our face and our wallets are fed to hungry lions flown in from iraqi zoos for just such an occasion.

okay so im delirious, lack of sleep possibly????...shutting up now.

Marcus Aurelius 05-15-2003 07:47 PM

Maybe her husband is addicted to porn because his wife lays like a board during their 2 minute missionary only, lights out, sex romps...when are women gonna learn, men want a whore in the bedroom, either adapt or get the fuck out of the way but dont go on a rampage against the people offering it to the masses and he just so happens to find it,. Hell if you go by that reasoning every liquor store in america should be charged in court for ruining families. My father was an alcoholic and you dont see me suing bud light..its called free will, people have it, choose to use it, and abuse it more often than not, dont punish the many for the stupidity of the few. She needs to stop running her mouth so much, put her husbands dick in it, and suck it till the swelling goes down and maybe he wont go looking for porn online.

sacX 05-15-2003 07:47 PM

thing that worries me is that you could be done in one of the Southern states on their community standards if your content is accessible there..(i imagine they're very easy to offend)

Of course I don't even live in the US but still concerns me oddly.

US Webmaster better hope another war somewhere so that they dont focus on you guys....

BRISK 05-15-2003 07:51 PM

It wont bother me if they prosecute porn spammers that send out emails with pictures of hardcore porn to every single email address out there.

Even though it makes me laugh that all these super-christians are getting all these porn spams everyday, I don't think 12 year old kids with hotmail addresses need to be getting emails showing some woman getting fucked by a horse. And even though I'm used to porn spams myself, even I've been surprised at how many spams I've been getting recently with incest related subject lines. Even though I'm sure the content is probably fake, I just don't need to see that crap.

So I think if the US government is gonna have a war on porn, it should focus its energy on the porn spammers that just send their crap to every single email address out there.

sacX 05-15-2003 07:51 PM

these kind of people are zealots too.. i wouldn't put it past them to take vigilante action if they don't get what they want.

sacX 05-15-2003 07:55 PM

I don't know anyone who wants kids to see porn.. but fact is if they type in an adult domain they can find it easily.. there needs to be a robust way to stop it..

Something like an environment variable in the main browsers like "No Adult Content", a simple script could stop people with that variable viewing your site.. or even some universal tag. This would make it easy for webmasters to comply.

I dunno but the stop gap measures they have put in the law recently are not robust enough, are difficult to interpret and won't be all that effective.

lyno 05-15-2003 07:59 PM

believe it or not, here in germany they are realy trying to establish a "face to face check" before you can enter a adult site

Whats a face to face check?

lyno 05-15-2003 08:15 PM

there are already court decision that states that a age verification through a credit card is not enought to preven minors enter the site (they could use their parents card)
at the moment the minimum is a copy of your id card (every german has one with his picture on it) and a CC. the declared goal is that somebody meets you live so he can verify you are of legal age
somebody on hahahahahahaha told me: Hey! that would be great! So i would know who is that guy that gets of on "60 year old grannys fucking midgets"

There is this feature Already :) built into IE
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...contentadv.asp

It is easy to register your site
http://www.icra.org/

a simple meta tag and that allows parents to filter out your sites for their kids ! by setting the content tab under interenet options in IE

Great point Lars, it's a point many people forget when the "Big Rush" is on to be the next Millionaire hero of the Adult world.
