Educate me please
I have repeatedly seen posts about the way to succeed in this business is by networking...via the boards and other methods. Please educate me and make a list of all of the ways that networking is going to help anyone succeed in this business.

It depends on what you do and what you want to do. Some parts of the industry need to network more than others.
If you are a host, or selling content, or a designer, or running a paysite with affiliates, networking can be important. |

just know peope that are in the industry, i wont just trow out names cause they may not remeber me, but i remeber when i met some people serious in the ebony game, they sent me 1000+ hits a day in traffic.
the thing is, you need to get yourself out there, if members feel you know such n such, your a reliable source.. all boils down to setworking.. not to mention when internext comes to vegas we can all get drunk |
My post is not going to mean shit.
Thats my :2 cents: |
I know tons of people that don't go to conferences because they are afraid of getting into pictures and then that ruining their chances at running for president one day. LOL!
Some people in this biz are too funny! DH P.S. I don't think I would be making 10% of what I am making now if it weren't for all the great people I have met at conferences. No shit! |

Many guys are low key and like it that way. I go to one show a year, and sometimes private industry parties and get togethers during the year.
After you've been in this business for a long time you don't need to network extensively because most people you already know and do business with. It's really a small number of people under 500 or so that run things. So networking becomes pretty much just a "Hey how are you, you're looking good, how's biz," chat scene and then just hanging out. |
