absolutely, woke up that year to see a sheet of white, by the next day, was sunny and 20c again
i read it´s only snowed 3 times in the history of Torrevieja, 1914 and 1927 in Cartagena was previously also recorded...
so far no snow, just this absolutely freezing cold weather

It's cold, but it's not crazy cold, 2 years ago I was living in Zamora, I had 2 weeks of -12c with icefog, they've only got -4c mins atm. Madrid gets colder than it is now as well.
I remember it snowing in Alicante 10 years or so ago, only lasted a couple of hours.Comment

the snow settled here in Torrevieja a few years back, but only for a day. This is partly the reason it´s so bad or so cold for us atm...
the weather´s completely different to normal.
Like some countries can´t handle the heat, some can´t the snow, here, it´s horrible to have the cold, we´ve no central heating or fire in our apartment, it´s usually 15c or 40c
