TM3 Question
I'm looking over my new TM3 install, and it doesn't look to me that TM3 supports site descriptions (as in "title and description"). I only see a field for the site title.
Tell me it ain't so. If TM3 supports site descriptions, how do I turn that on? |
Use this and change the number accordinly
$$$top:desc:1$$$ It uses it but first build your toplist and get familiar on how the script works. You'll love it |
Thanks, spunky. I'm breathing again.
I've read over the help section pretty good, still don't see how to create a toplist with TM3. I understand the template thing but I don't quite get how the tags should look, if I could see a basic toplist template now I think I"ll be rolling. Can anyone show me a basic toplist template? Maybe post the critical tags? What's the tag to show the top 10 sites? It looks to me that you need to put a tag in the template for every item you want. Ie, a tag for title, a tag for description, etc. That seems like a lot of tags just to list the top 10 sites. Is that the way it works? |
Yup you have to have a seperate tag for what you want. You have to also have a seperate toplist template for it to work also .
here is one of my tags a href="/cgi-bin/tm3/l?i=$$$top:id:1$$$" target="_new">$$$top:title:1$$$ hope it helps |
great!
do you use the site description field? How do you get the site description into the tm3 db? Tyrex says the signup form doesn't support a description. (wtf?) |
