Canon EOS 10D - Anybody shooting this camera?

Any of you horn-dogs working with the Canon 10D? If so, are you pleased with the results? Nice smooth skin tones?

I have not shot with it.. but I have seen some results.. and that shit rocks.. Very good cam... specially at that price...

If I didnt have so much money in Nikon stuff.. I would buy one as a back up... or primary :)

Hey Dax - yea, I've only heard great things about this camera. Was hoping someone here was shooting with one so I can see some results. I've seen a couple of reviews (with sample pics) but none of them have "people" as their samples. I'm curious about the skin tones etc.

Hope all is well -

I want one so bad, my balls hurt. Care to send me one? I'll be happy to post the results. ;)

I am shooting with it right now. This camera rocks. The problem with posting samples is that I shoot in the highest jpg compression. The images are 3072x2048 and about 2-3MB each.
If I compress them down the results would still be good but not what you are looking for. The camera is overkill for web purposes but if you are ever planning to print out some images you will never want to shoot on film ever again.
It is doing really great results on the newbie automatic programs but also gives the professional great power to control every aspect of the image. The only thing that is annoying is the 1.6 factor compared to normal 35mm meaning every lens gets a higher blend. So a 28mm blend is about a 45mm on that camera.
I guess I can live with it because the 1d would be at least 8000 bucks ;)

Hey Andi - what's your email or ICQ?

Thanks,
