sure, they'll choke again in October, but it's a lot more fun than being a Tigers fan the last few years ;))) and being a Braves fan in the late 80's...yikes.....


I love how a lot of the ESPN guys were writing them off after the 4-8 start and now they are falling all over themselves to praise the Braves....

I think Bobby Cox deserves a lot more credit than he gets...he has this knack of bringing out the best in castoffs from other teams (the Francos, Castilla (can't hit for shit anymore but a damn good 3rd baseman), Renyolds, Hamilton, etc.)

I also just love watching John Smoltz pitch...you can almost see the batters pissing themselves in the batter's box...even though Glavine and Maddux get most of the press, I've always been a huge fan of Smoltz and the way he attacks pitching...

also, ncie to see Chipper isn't having to carry the load...with Sheff kicking all sorts of ass, Giles tearing it up with the bat AND the glove, Furcal finally growing the fuck up and using the talents he has instead of showboating, even Lopez somewhat resembling the player he once was...
