October Sales? 2020 Craziness Continues

The year 2020 continues to be fucking nuts! Comparing sales trends from 2019 and 2018 I am seeing all kinds of cuckoo peaks and valleys.

October has been the worst month so far. No stimulus package for US citizens in sight, a truly insane Presidential Election coming up in two weeks, unemployment benefits ended in August and few new jobs, and no trick or treating for Halloween this year. Fun times! Oh - and a second (third?) wave of Covid-19 coronavirus hitting Europe and America. Great!

So all this is affecting sales? Or do you think something else is going on? I like roller coasters but this is ridiculous. :helpme How are you handling the ride?

During the pandemic I made the most. Now, I’m just getting rookie numbers.

I guess I will just leave it be.

People got sick of smoldering at home . . .

I can't imagine comparing October 2020 sales to October 2018 is going to give you any meaningful insight.

Personally my conversion ratios are up from last month and better than August as well.

You are right, comparing numbers from past years does no real good. But regardless, sales are down over here the last few weeks and most people I know are worried about the Election, the economy, etc right now.

Perfect demographic for an escapism product like adult content.

The economy has never affected whether someone buys a porn video :winkwink:

for a few mos, my ccbill sales were actually decent and my CB sales have picked up but I do still have a period or two that are drop-offs. But as a whole, I've made more in 2020 than I did in 2019. Stress like pandemic and wars drive people to spend money to get a break from stress.

In the last few mos. I've put aside enough for a $1,400 entry-level gaming laptop that I ordered today.

femdomdestiny 10-20-2020 02:47 PM

November was my top month ever. October won't be so good but I am still at 1:182, what is fine. I can only blame myself for not working and improving things.

I didn't realize the pandemic was over.

Just wait tho. Flu season is just starting and as the weather gets colder we will be experiencing another wave of Covid-19 fun.

Maybe sales will go up then, tho with no US stimulus package in sight and Europe reeling from a huge spike in coronavirus cases it's not looking great.

DukeSkywalker 10-20-2020 09:05 PM

On one hand I want lock downs as whew they were lucrative. Still are but normalizing. But I realize that's short sighted. If Biden wins this goes away. If trump wins everyone gets tired and quasi revolts against cuck governors. Either way, people are growing tired of it.

It was never about another wave because the current idiot in charge played it off like a fool. If he had just told people how serious it was and that masks helped we would not be this bad off and might be mostly open and safely.

I think my CB sales are still up cause people are still lonely and a lot of bars are closed. but CCBILL is down back to where it was cause people are back to normal working and went back to the phubs when they have free time

It was smart to down play it. The videos of people dropping dead in china were propaganda, possibly by own intelligence. First masks didnt help, then they did, then it kind of does. It was never that serious. Heck, Chris Christie OF ALL PEOPLE beat it. Deaths from covid alone with no co morbidity is 9000-10,000. And to top
It off, Pelosi was telling people to “come to china town.” Stop blaming orange man bad

If you look at positive point, the cost of running a business has got down.
No office space required, no pressure to look cool, no need to spend on latest fashion trends, phones etc.

If you cut down on cost, consistently work hard, then you can surely run business.

No office lunch and bs like that. Gas, laundry, this in and of itself will change the economy somewhat

adultchatpay 10-21-2020 03:09 AM

Conversion rate is way better this month compared to the last 3-5 months, so i guess people are catching up with their finances.

Forkbeard 10-21-2020 10:20 PM

Savings rate in USA is sharply up -- because people with money are stuck at home, not spending on "experience" goods (travel, dining, public entertainment). Lots of people are in dire economic straits (facing eviction during covid-winter) but the folks whose jobs have held up are doing fine and bored enough to buy porn. So far my affiliate sales have held up.

But this winter is looking grim. I'm ignoring the denialist idiots because my state is riding the ragged line of being out of ICU beds. And it's gonna get a lot worse before it starts getting better. My concern and belief is that we're going to see macroeconomic effects (a serious depression) before spring. When everybody is hoarding their last cash to buy groceries, I don't see porn sales holding up.

Of course, I don't make my primary income from affiliate sales these days. And I've seen serious contractions in my numerous side gigs. People are being very conservative with their money, not taking chances or investing in uncertain business ventures. This is reducing demand for advertising, copywriting, SEO, and social media management work, all of which I do when the money is right.

These are troubled times politically, socially, and economically. It makes people conservative with their money. Porn is still a sellable thing, but shit is tight. I expect shit to get a lot tighter this winter.

NatalieK 10-21-2020 10:45 PM

TBH, my income and sales figures are most certainly all over the shot...

while on the first wave, between say March & June this year, 2020, the figures dropped significantly, this probably due to millions of adult workers, strippers, escorts & prostitutes, massage & face to face direct contact workers, all moving to online work & reducing online workers income by half, a huge flux.
However, also, noticing many bored guys, home and not at work, so then a peak in sales, even with the massive amount of new onlineers, established models like myself had a popular fan base who come online and were online all day, not just a few hours in the evening...

Once the first wave reduced, August, September, a huge drop in figures as many people returned back to work, & the millions of new online working girls have continued as strip bars and flights never managed to return back to normal.

This huge second wave that´s hitting Europe could be really bad, the figures and statistics are much worse than before, and for me, my business model hasn´t been established as yet. Although, i´ve been spending my time with a couple of clients and new ideas on a boat with my partner, they say adapt or die...

2021, let´s see what you´re going to bring us!

rastan 10-22-2020 01:44 AM

Yup, all over the place here. September was very good. October started really well, then last week was flat as a witches tit. :disgust

Not saying the sky is falling.
Just saying it's cloudy out and looks like rain. :)

Hawkins 10-22-2020 08:26 AM

Cams are performing very well, if you still aren't into Stripcash.com - good time to join. People don't want just to masturbate at covid times, they want to talk with someone.
