    Serious Hosting Question

OK so im getting pissed off at hosting companies that offer inexpensive WP hosting only to find out this is extra that is extra oh and you can only have one user accessing the servers etc etc etc.

I have a small Word Press site that is causing speed issues, as i say its a small site but it does have a few plugins. Hosting with a company called Hostinger the load time is anywhere from 7 seconds to 25 seconds for the home page. Obviously unacceptable so shared hosting does not work. Tried SiteGround who assured me that their Word Press optimized servers are amazingly fast! Same issues with them, best i got was 4.5 seconds out of a dozen GTMetrix tests.

This isn't an adult site so no videos and no huge images, all i need is a company that charges a great price without all the fucking up-selling. Any suggestion ?

Go with Sly. I doubt you will find anyone telling you that the solutions he sells are overpriced or slow. And for that kind of money, dont dick around trying to save $5

You can go with MojoHost, M3Server or Vacares, all of them are solid and without bullshit upsells.

Most cheap shared hostings are oversold, if you complain that your sites are slow randomly they often tell you some BS like that you need to contact your developer and optimize your website but in fact the problem is that their servers are oversold and overloaded at certain times. They put hundreds if not thousands clients on one server. VPS (Vacares, Mojo, ...) should be a better option but for those who need fast and reliable shared hosting I can recommend CrocWeb or Hawkhost (see sig).

Sounds like Hughesnet, oversold on a very restricted bandwidth and as soon as the pandemic hit and everyone want to work from home the internet via their satellite crashed and has been up and down for the past 4 months. So looking forward to Elon Musk putting this company out of it's misery

That load time really is absolutely insane. It is definitely a good idea to move to a VPS. At the same time, when you have a fully managed hosting solution, the sysadmins should be able to help you streamline your website - I know ours do this quite often. I also don't entirely rule out the possibility that some optimization is necessary on the site itself - non-optimized images is the most common problem.
I'd be glad to offer an alternative quote if you haven't yet decided on Vacares, so please reach out via any of the contacts in my signature.

Great the migration is complete and the load time has gone down to an average of 3-5 seconds . With some Java script defer and image optimization i think it will hit the magic 2-3 sec load time !
