I know this might turn into a retarde thread but ck this out.. I learnedin english class there is no such thing as common sense.
We tried to defie it but couldnt. Its based off of education and upbringing and what not. What may seem obvious may not seem obvious to others.

THe only thing is now I need to write an essay on convicted felons and if they should have the right to vote. What do you think? Insome stat they cant vote.. Others they can. Whose right and whose wrong.. I need to turn this essay in about an hour and I have shit for brains.

One simple assumption you can make is: For what we call "common sense" to actually work, you do need a knowledge base.

But there is also some sort of common sense in a new born baby. Which doesn't function in the exact same way though. It is based on what is already hardwired in its brain. Like, pain is bad, milk is good, crying draws attention, etc..

Don't most people have sense enough not to kill their parents, lest they become parentless and imprisoned? Doesn't the fact that most people have this sense make it... well... common?
