REGEX - Cruel And Unusual?..
 

I just watched a 2 hour long tutorial about REGEX - OMG - Instead of the death sentence they should should make people learn this shit - KILL ME PLEASE!..

He finished with the words "When you think about it, it makes sense" - NO IT DOESN'T - $13.95 and 2 hours of my life I will never get back......

I am going to hunt him down and kill him....

But it does helps with shit (search and replace in notepad++ etc)

I can make your regex line if you pay me 13.95 for it.;) ,😈😄.

Once you learn it it takes 5 or 10 minutes to do one, unless it is something extremely challenging, which might take a few hours of meditation... But those are not common, although regex also should be your last resource if you are trying to build a fast php script, for example, or search in a database, because they take longer to be executed than the usual algorithms, but, again, it depends on the case, sometimes it doesn't matter, sometimes if you need to repeat the process ten thousand times in a second, it matters a lot.
