hotpics.com what to do with it?
 

hotpics.com is my friends domain and we are trying to think what we can develop into any suggestions? Its an awesome name for a tgp site but.. It gets type-in traffic so why give away free porn when its guaranteed to get type-ins everyday. Any ideas???

I mainly do domains too (also been at it since '99, coincidentally...not an oldtimer but not a newb), and while it looks like I'm alone here, I'd weigh in on the side of eddie: hotpics.com will get decent type-ins. Not like hotsex.com or hotgirls.com but still decent. 500 a day sounds realistic...maybe plus or minus 250, but I bet it's in the ballpark.

eddie, I think the "popup hell" response was meant as a suggestion for what to do with the site, not a criticism of what it has now. And it's not a bad suggestion either...like you said, it gets traffic whether you're giving away free porn or not, so there's an argument to be made for not giving it away, and just make them want to visit sponsors.

freehotpic.com and hotfreepics.com get no type-ins? Ok, sell 'em to me for $100. They're less popular than hotpics.com, no doubt, but they have to get some type-ins. The diff between 2- and 3-word domains is like the diff between 1- and 2-word domains, e.g. freeanalsex.com gets maybe 2% of what analsex.com gets, analsex.com gets 2% of what sex.com gets. However, freehotpics.com is an exceptionally popular site (stupid looking but popular), run by the TopBucks crew, and it carries some spillover to freehotpic.com and hotfreepics.com. Hm, just did a whois on those two and they have different owners, so perhaps I misunderstood what domains you own.

hotpics.com is a very nice domain. I think it should get at least 300 type ins per day.

We have thousands of domains and from experience I would say that hotpics.com might get a range of 50 on the low side to 250 type-ins on the high side.

500? I'd like to see stats also cause I think that's a bit on the high side. Not that you can't get that every now and then, but I doubt it will do that consistently day in and day out.

But it is an excellent domain to develop regardless.
