Cam site recommendations
I thought about posting this in the Chaturbate thread, but I think it goes beyond just CB to broader questions. I need some advice from the old jedi masters here. I'm trying to figure out the best cam affiliate setup, and every time I think I have it figured out, I get another curve ball. Fortunately I don't have a lot invested in anything at this stage so it's easy to change. Keep in mind all of this is for a startup tube with low traffic. Link in sig for reference to see where I am.
1) Branding So the conventional wisdom seems to be that a white label is the way to go, but I'm also finding a fair amount of advice that says brand names convert better than unknown brand white labels - i.e., just link to CB, mfc, stripcash, whatever with an affiliate code and cash in on the name brand. 2) Domain stuff Somebody here recommended using subdomains to capture some branding. (cams.domain.com) Not all WL sites allow this. I just discovered that Streamate doesn't. I would have to either purchase and set up new top level domains for cams, or live with their top level domain, which sucks (solidcams.com) 3) Multiple brands I'm considering having a drop down menu in the main nav bar with a list of branded affiliate cam sites (see #1) Chaturbate | MFC | Live Jasmin | whatever Would that be multiplying the chance of a conversion by giving more options, or just diluting my cam traffic so that none of them produce like they would alone? 4) CrakRevenue or direct affiliate? I like CR because they have an embeddable cam widget I can place on the page, and it seems to be getting a decent amount of clicks for the traffic I have (not much). But their revshare offer (15%) is less than what CB is offering directly (20%+referral bonus). But if I don't go through CR I lose the cam widget, but there's no way I can see to point that widget to a white label instead of the brand site. Like I said every time I think I have all this shit figured out something new comes up. Chaturbate's home page looks like pure-d shit from 2010 and doesn't blend in with my site at all, and they have no real white label options. Streamate is WAY more attractive and classy looking and fits my site great, but I lose my subdomain branding. I haven't heard anybody say MFC is a good option. I've heard good things about stripcash, but I don't know anything about it. I figured it's just smarter to ask for advice than keep bumping into walls. Somebody help a brother out here. |
Your best bet (imho) would be to make your own cam site using the various feeds from the different cam companies.
Probably the easiest feed(s) to work with are CB and Bonga. They are both sbout the same structure. I don't do anything with Bonga so I do not remember if they have their feed in JSON but they do have it in xml. CB has both xml and JSON. After you get those set up you can add other feeds. There are plenty of scripts to do this with or you can put your own together pretty easily. The advantages to this are: 1. You have control of the branding 100%. 2. You can selectively load cams to match your chosen niche. So, you don't end up with guy cams on a site called girlcams and vice versa. 3. You control the traffic going to the sponsor. 4. You control the ads. 5. You control the SEO. 6. You don't have to sign a domain over to anybody. Good Luck. . |
Stripcash is my favourite atm.
Don't start at cb - you will be one of the cryers in future who say all models steal your spenders and cb don't give a fuck. But I have to say I only worked with cb and stripcash so far - maybe others have experience of more different services. |
