Are you a Dog or Cat person?

Just wondering what webmasters prefer....

Jakke PNG 05-11-2003 03:00 AM

Dog.

TheMob 05-11-2003 03:03 AM

Realdoll.

Mutt 05-11-2003 03:49 AM

i prefer cat, dog is mostly dark meat and pretty rubbery. Marinate a medium sized cat in soy sauce, slap it on the barbecue and you're in for quite a nice surprise. I have a good recipe for kitty burgers as well if anybody is interested.

freeme 05-11-2003 04:58 AM

i have both

dogs and cats

dog to keep the strangers away

cats to keep the dog inline

:thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 05-11-2003 07:02 AM

i'm a dog person but I like cats too and have always had them aswell. At the moment though we only have a cat. Our place is really too small to be fair to a dog. That and my cat would kill it.

LadyMischief 05-11-2003 07:03 AM

Dogs, Cats, horses, birds, rabbits, you name it, I've had em and love em :)

Beastiepoo 05-11-2003 07:14 AM

Cats. I like smallish dogs but don't like the idea of having to bathe them and take them for walks. I've got a baby who is enough hard work on her own!

Makingcoin 05-11-2003 10:40 AM

Dog over cat anyday.

FATPad 05-11-2003 10:41 AM

I have both. 2 of each.

Fletch XXX 05-11-2003 11:25 AM

Not sure, I have one of each.

Caroline 05-11-2003 11:55 AM

i never liked cats until i had my own. and i have realized, they are way friendlier and nicer if you have a pair. esp if they are siblings.

i have had dogs all my life, and they are motherfuckers.
i love them, but i have had so much shit ruined by them.
my dog just ate me fucking glasses. AFTER I JUST GOT THEM FIXED

oh well. he is still my baby.

so.. i love both. cats and dogs :)

Babaganoosh 05-11-2003 11:56 AM

Cats rule. Dogs are too needy. Cats just want someplace comfy to sleep, a bowl of food, a place to shit, and an occasional scratch behind the ears.

Becky 05-11-2003 12:09 PM

Cats for sure!!:)

I love your cute lil kittie PJ......I am still waiting for my fed ex:1orglaugh

markell 05-11-2003 12:13 PM

Pussy all the way!

I never did like dogs. Most of the dogs I've come across have been either a) loud, b) stinky, c) loud, d) overly aggressive, e) loud, or f) some combination of the above which most likely involves at least a, c, and e. I'll admit I've met some cute dogs, but for me it's mostly the stink factor and the bark factor.

Cats, on the other hand, now they're my kinda pet.

I've never been woken up in the middle of the night by a cat meowing. Especially not when it was the neighbor's cat.

I've never met a cat that smelled bad (I'm not talking about occasional accidents, you get those with dogs too; I'm talking about that "dog smell" which some dogs only get when they're wet but most dogs seem to carry around with them all the time).

I've never met a cat who, when standing on its hind legs, was half as tall as me; or one who charged me when I stepped in the door; or one who could physically knock me over if he was so inclined.

My mailbox post is always surrounded by huge dog-logs. If and when someone else's cat shits in my yard (the neighbors have 4 cats and there are some local strays) it's too small to notice; and because everyone in the neighborhood doesn't walk their cat down the sidewalk, it's not all concentrated into one big disgusting mess.

I've never met a feral/unleashed cat who chased me or tried to bite me without provocation - they tend to head for the shadows at the sight of a stranger.

The only presents dogs give you are brown and stinky. Outdoor cats have a cute (but perhaps unclean) habit of killing mice and shrews and leaving them on your doorstep as a gift. OK, maybe this one's a draw.

When a fire truck or ambulance goes by, the outdoor cats in the neighborhood don't launch into a cacophony of wailing.

Man's best friend may be the dog, but man's best companion is the kitty IMO!

Dogs are all in the training.

There is nothing better than a properly trained dog and there is nothing worse than an untrained/poorly trained dog.

All those loud, stupid, annoying dogs you have around you are the latter. :(

FUCKING HELL!!! We've got 3 small cats in an average sized 3 bedroom house and it is enough. How big is your house to keep all those animals? It must be crowded!:)

PersianKitty 05-11-2003 03:53 PM

4,500 square feet.

The cats, parrot and the puppy (when we get it) all are on the main floor. The rest of the menagerie are in the basement. My 15 year old has planned for years to do something in the animal field. I decided years ago that I couldn't stiffle his love for animals and caring for them. He's at max now tho and knows it. Already has plans for what he wants when one animal or another passes away.

People who come over are amazed at the number of creatures. They say the house just seems to calm, quiet and 'non-smelling' for that. Although.. when the bearded dragon decides to poop.. you don't want to be downstairs!

AngelAllgood 05-11-2003 04:14 PM

both cats and Dogs

"Happiness is when the kids grow up and the dog (or cat) dies."

TheFLY 05-11-2003 07:00 PM

Domesticated pets are for women to domesticate men... that's it.

Keep the animals outside where they belong.

Yeah.. there are plenty of times I would have liked to chain my ex to a doghouse outside.

archer 05-11-2003 09:50 PM

does one have to choose between dogs and cats? why can't one be both a dog and a cat person?

little dogs like bassets are cool - course their heads are the same size as a german sheppard's though...

i envy my dog - he REALLY knows how to relax. We're all just amateurs at relaxing compared to him.

Marissa 05-13-2003 11:47 AM

Definitely a dog person. I like cats but couldn't have one because my dog would kill it. Dogs are so much more fun than cats but cats are great companionship for older people and kids that are hospital bound ;-) Animals are great therapy for people who need companionship! Hey who cares I like all animals ;-):)

MissyMiss 05-13-2003 11:55 AM

I love all animals, especially both dogs and cats. I have two white boxers, a mama dog and one of her puppies, and the mama dog is havin pups again, and right now I have two cats, one of which is 18 years old! Animals are precious even vicious ones. Being vicious is only their survival instinct.
I just moved into some horse property so were getting more cats, keeping one of the new pups, getting a billy goat, you know old mcmissy had a farm!

I never met a cat I didn't like. I've met a couple of dogs who didn't like me, though.

I like whatever critter likes me. :glugglug

LeeNoga 05-13-2003 12:11 PM

Cats!

They can take or leave me :-)

They let me live in their house.

dig420 05-13-2003 12:18 PM

I prefer girls

basschick 05-13-2003 01:02 PM

i like dogs AND cats. also large lizards and snakes. horses and donkeys can be very kewl. right now, i only have cats, but for years i had a chow who was just the best friend ever!

i think that "real men only like dogs" thing is just bullshit. my friend's ultramacho husband likes cats - she is very girly and likes only dogs.
