Bitcoin halving

Bitcoin inflation rate will be cut in half next week.

While the fed is quantitative easing, Bitcoin is quantitative hardening.

Do the math, believe/trust in math, and I think you/we will make really good financial decisions :2 cents:

In the past, this leads to an eventual huge rise, not immediately before, after, but wait months. I suggest researching previous Bitcoin halving charts

Bitcoin is very unpredictable so I won't even try predicting but research & come to your own conclusion. Consider the halvings history, consider current economic crisis and all fiats getting brrrrr'd beyond belief, and basic (btc) supply & demand :winkwink:

Things should get interesting, I will predict that, only! haha

Halving so miners are receiving 50% bitcoins for verified transactions.

kmanrox 05-07-2020 09:16 AM

We'll see over 10k before then. Almost there today. The halving is good, though.

Depends what your plan is.

Did you buy with plans to profit in the dirty dollar? Sell
Did you buy to store & increase your wealth? Hodl

Ferus 05-08-2020 10:37 AM

If you can get out with a profit now you should do so. Buy American Express Co. stock and hold on to them for 2 years... alternative a wide spread from Dow if you want to play it safe.

sonofsam 05-08-2020 05:09 PM

Buy oil futures

Buy puts on all the overpriced tech companies

I'm convinced the only people that hate Bitcoin:

A. they store value elsewhere, like gold, and feel like Bitcoin is taking market share, as a competitor.

This would prove ignorance because with fed printing always , there is enough for us all (gold/stocks/bitcoin/etc)

B. they've never used, or don't understand Bitcoin

This would also prove ignorance, because if they take a stand against Bitcoin they should first use it, try it, experience it and/or know the BTC basics.

nikki99 05-09-2020 06:21 AM

going down....

"Hate" or "dont love it as much as fanboys"? there is a difference

The haters, i'm talking about people like Nouriel Roubini, Peter Schiff, probably Thommdawg in there too. Hatred driven by financial threat, ignorance & unwilling to learn or understand it, & ego (can't admit it's useful after years of bashing)

Very possible. Once this halving hype settles and result of quantitative easing in full effect, $20k will break and surpass :2 cents:

You're better off staking crypto or lending Bitcoin for "free" :2 cents:

Tell us you're too lazy to learn Bitcoin without telling us :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

15 years later and we still have this idiocy. We're still SO early.

Notice how none of the Bitcoin-haters can argue their anti-BTC stance, they just call it names like a snotty-nosed kindergartner.
(ie CAHEK, Sergio, adultinnovation, mainstreammix)

To the haters, your fiat will devalue, forever, it will never stop losing value.

To the Bitcoin holders, you know 21mn will ever exist, finite, and will (in the long run) forever rise in value, it is protection against fiat devaluation, it is savings technology, and congrats to you all :thumbsup

The Porn Nerd 03-24-2024 09:46 AM

People don't buy BitCoin because they want BitCoin. They buy BitCoin because they want more Dollars. They only care about how much BitCoin they can flip into Dollars.

Crypto is just a new way to gamble.

Buy it low then hope it sky rockets in value then sell it for real money AKA the dolla dolla bill

That vast majority of Bitcoin supply is stored off exchanges and doesn't move, which means your theory is factually bullshit. People buy Bitcoin to save it, as it has proven to be the best savings technology in human history. If you would like to read and learn about that data, check here: https://medium.com/coinmonks/70-of-a...r-89fa289dc048

@adultinnovation you've been saying the same bullshit about Bitcoin for over 10 years since it was $100 when will you give up and admit that your comments have been completely wrong and you lack the knowledge to give any advice on Bitcoin?

I don't think you really understand the math & logic behind Bitcoin paring with any fiat currency (BTC finite vs fiat infinite). Seems like you refuse to learn it, squash that ego as it has done nothing but hold you down. YOU CAN DO ITTTTTTT :winkwink:

The BTC haters will never take the time to try and understand. They're mostly sour they've missed out on all the incredible profits and it's easier to call it a ponzi and pretend they know what they're talking about, than to admit they're wrong.

It's great to see all the newcomers, both in BTC and the new crypto ETFS: GBTC, IBIT, BITB, et al

Agree. I don't keep anything but my weekly buy in non-cold storage. It all shifts to a cold storage wallet.

One BTC hits 55-63, it'll spike fairly quickly to 110.
