Realplayer and IE
Anybody know how to stop the realplayer heap of crap from being used as the default MPG player in IE6? It's probably a simple registry setting somewhere but I can't find it if it is.
I don't want to uninstall it as I have some software which unfortunately depends on it. I simply want to make media player the default mpeg player of IE as it already is on the desktop. |
open realplayer and set the file associations under "settings"

That's the problem mpegs aren't associated with it. In all but IE6 they open directly into windows media player. It's just ie6 that seems to think it should use realplayer for them.
