Favorite Weird Snack?

Okay, a while ago people were posting their favorite Ramen recipes...and I avoided mentioning the additon of Worcestershire sauce and parmesian cheese, 'cause I respect y'all like that. But in the days since, I've been thinking about some weird snacks that still sound yummy, despite the fact I haven't actually had them since about 1980. (I was twelve - do the math. Or not.)

Vanilla ice cream and pretzels. This is so yummy, you just can't imagine if you haven't tried it. Scoop up some ice cream on a crispy, out-of-the-bag pretzel. Yum.

White bread and green olives. To make it perfect, add table salt. Best enjoyed under the eaves of your trailer...

"White-trash pastry" - Take a slice of wheat bread, spread with butter or (preferably) margarine, and sprinkle with white sugar. Okay, SMOTHER with white sugar and shake off the excess. (You can also do this with white bread, but that takes it from mildly charming to totally hicksville. When enjoying cheap snacks, it's always good to wallow in the fringe.)

Ritz crackers with cottage cheese. HEAVEN, I tell ya.

Oh look! It's almost 7:00 a.m. and there are two ciggies left in the pack. That would make it bed time. Good weekend, all...

Wrong...first you toast the whitebread...then butter and sugar and let it melt a little. Thats the way.

I don't have any weird snack ideas.. I think.
I just eat what my GF makes. When I feel like a snack, I just go see what's in the frigde (ready). I never MAKE anything weird.

This reminds me of a recipe I saw once which said to take a box of cake mix and put it in a flat pan, cut up two cubes of butter and put it over the cake mix, then put a can of pie filling on top and bake. Gross me out big time.

Not wierd, but I get on a corndog kick once in awhile.
2 corndogs and a diet pepsi.
Beans on toast is good, too.
KD with ham and fried onions in it is pretty good.

For weird, I like Claussen dill pickle halves wrapped with kraft cheese slices once in awhile. :cool-as-a

Yeah, that is the white collar version that my mom used to make for us kids. Hence the BROWN sugar and cinnamon. Real white trash peeps would think that brown sugar was just dirty white sugar.:winkwink:

oh the best is hawaiian sweet bread sliced thin and slathered with cheese whiz. Something about the sweet of the break and the tangy of the cheese whiz is irresistible.

nothing wrong with the icecream/pretzel combo. The ice cream place I used to go to as a kid had pretzel cones. They kicked ass.

Yep, buttered toast, brown sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Damn that takes me back.

One time when I couldn't afford to stock up on food, I was so famished and all I had was a can of tomato soup and relish. It sounds disgusting but it was surprisingly good - added nice texture!! I'll never do it again though ;)

Another one back in the day, which I only did once, was sauteed onions with mustard. It was pretty good but then again I was pissed drunk ;)

Iceburg Lettuce and Hellmans Mayo sandwichs (on toasted multigrain bread is great) - put lots of both - very yummy!

Celery and peanut butter and if you want to be a little crazy throw on some raisins - never tried it with the raisins but I see my bf do it all the time - he seems to enjoy it!!!

Enjoy:thumbsup
