What is a good chat program to use?
 

I need a good chat program that I can install on our server that can log all chats.

I tried doing it with IRC through dal.net and undernet and they don't play nice with Virtual Private Networks. You can only log in about 25% of the time. So any IRC solution is out.

I need something we can install on our server. Any good robust chat programs out there? cgi, java, php... ?

Try setting up an ircd on your server... then you can allow yourself on your own irc server :)

you mean something like www.sexy.com?

Online since 1996 one would reckon you could afford to pay for a decent chat script. :1orglaugh

Install IRCD on your server and you'll have your own IRC service, so you will not depend on the dal.net or some other company.

Hey Danielle,

Check out http://www.realchat.com, they have a free version. Nice little script , but on the free version you are limited to 30 users and have no admin area.
