I'm REALLY starting to FUCKING HATE DATE.COM
Every 30 mins or so another fucking Date.com popup comes onto my screen. These FUCKERS have somehow infected my computer with their GOD DAMN FUCKING POPUP and I can't figgure out how to get the fucking thing out. They didn't even have the decency to label the fucking popup generator as an ad - it's obviously mislabled PURPOSLY so a person can't find it. A sign of TOTAL skumbags and UNTRUSTWORTHYNESS.
NOTE - FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DON'T. ANY COMPANY that has to resort to FORCING a customer to view thier ads like this is FULL of SKUMBAGS. Obviously their stuff doesn't sell good enough to use respectable advertising methods so they have to resort to this bullshit. I want this fucking shit off my machine. |
I'm having the same problem with cockdot.com. Fucking popups back to his site anytime I hit a site with porn on it. Ran adware and spybot and this thing is still there.
|
really bad method of marketing.. :(
|
I have this program : Spybot (search and destroy)
It's a lot better than adaware. Couldn't find the url I got it from though. |
any company that needs to resort to this bullshit is MAKING a PUBLIC statement that their conversion ratios SUCK and the ONLY WAY they can make money is by forcing their CRAP on people.

I think. That was the first result on google for 'spybot search and destroy' :) hehe.. better read the page before installing anything though. the logo seemed familiar. :) |

Do you remember when that Internet Eraser timed pop up was popular? They have them now that tell you your IP, your cable company and even more info and locks itself in your sys reg. Is it affiliates or the company? Thats like saying Lens is responsible for the people who do that evil shit with Internet Eraser, and its happened a lot. |
shut up sleazy
hahahah EAT THOSE DATE.COM ADSE! |
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Transponder.html try this It finds all kind of shit they call parasites. Works wonderfully:thumbsup
|

sleazy ever since i started going to mach.com or any dating site same shit has been happening to me
|
Have any of you installed Morpheus or Kazaa? You will need to clean your registry directly.

strong words meaning it's the FUCKING company and not an AFFILIATE. |

I think this is ILLEGIAL and they should be put out of business for this BULLSHIT - if not JAILED. NOONE has the right to infect your computer and FORCE their shit on you again and again with no way of removing it. |

in Toronto the owner of date.com offered me $50 a sale.
Think about that FOLKS. Seriously now. NOONE can pay an affilate $50 a sale and I refused cause it smelled bad. Now I know how they can offer $50 a sale. if they infect every single surfer with this BULLSHIT that's almost impossible to get rid of then it's possible to pay $50 a sale - since they wouldn't be paying out on all the infected sales and their fucking ad would keep poping up in front of a surfer FOREVER. |
if i cant fix this shit I think i might have to format c this weekend and start again god knows how much other shit is hiding in here
|

Skumbags is supposed to be Scumbags |

I'm not so sure about $50/sale is impossible to achieve with dating. There's less of an impulse buy mentality than with porn, less of a stigma, less reason for fraud, etc. I may be completely mistaken because our dating sites are just starting to get off the ground, but we're projecting fewer sales but more revenue per sale than we do for adult. :2 cents:
|
You know, I've been getting the same fucking shit. I got it all yesterday then when I turned on my monitor today nothing had popped all night. Hmm..
|
I think dating sites are more impulse buying imo
|
This is soooo fucking stupid!!
Some dumbass affiliate screwed up a popup generator and it doesnt even list his affiliate code. I've shut down one dork for that and when I find out who this asshole is I will shut him down too!! We have one of the best conversions of all the dating sites and we do it without stupid popup tricks Download adware from download.com and get rid of it, thats what I tell everyone to do. Date.com are our neighbours.
They are a mainstream site they are image cautious. You email someone from Date.com Sleazy they will go out of there way to get whatever it is off your screen. Date.com are a good bunch of people and friends on mine also, I've got nothing but solid things to say about them. |
CONTACT INFO ANY ONE?
|
Wiseman is dying to know who that affiliate is hahaha!
Great marketing eh? Just email them ... I think you will find Date.com is very responsive to these types of issues and will go out of there way in order to protect the privacy of their users and surfers on the internet. I think you're just pissed it wasn't your program or site! :winkwink: |

Or maybe its because you're fucking face is so hideous that you can't even get a date in real life- you're so bitter because you coulnt even find a decent woman on a well respected dating site that you gotta talk trash. Nobody sympathizes with you, Sleazy Dream- you're a fucking loser and you're PATHETIC. Even retards and senile senior citizens can figure out how to avoid and deter pop up marketing. Its just sad that you're exposing your idiocy by making biased comments about a dating site that you had no luck in finding love with. Thats how it is- living the life of a LOSER. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Quit blaming people before you have all the facts.
As an experienced webmaster, i am curious how you were able to allow something like this to happen on your machine? I have been working with Date.com for a long time, and it pisses me off when people flame sponsors on these boards without just cause. Get your facts straight before you start hating! :321GFY |

try it - as of this moment there is popups on the url. now I'm not say thing there is anything wrong with a standard popup, I am saying that if you're gona make a PUBLIC STATEMENT that you do great conversions without popups then DON"T HAVE POPUPS. - or at LEAST take the popup down for a couple of days so you don't look like such a smuck. hint - next time take the popup down before you make a statement like that..... yep - I believe you NOT |
Quote:
hey fucktard.. he said "stupid pop up tricks" if you go the site and get a pop up, thats not too stupid you're still a fat pussy who hangs out with tards |
We have 1 popunder ONLY on our site! and it only appears 1/day/computer.
If you are getting anything else, its your computer generating it idiot! Not us! Most of the popup generators are content driven so if you go to a adult site you get adult popups and if you go to a dating site you get dating popups and if you go to a golf site for gays then you get gay popups. Please think before you type if you can. When you learn the difference between popunders and popups then you can post further. Are you sure your a experienced webmaster? Mike Ellis Privacy Manager |
Sleazy Dream- I just found an example of how Date.com doesnt encourage affiliates to send a barrage of pop ups:

They do ask for permission! You just have your machine be ready not to accept. They don't ask your pesonal permission but you machine has to allow it to be installed. Take measuers not to allow this to happen. You read about any spyware and they thrive onthe fact that people say " I never installed this software " Example: Xupiter Some installations probably occurred when people clicked "OK" in a pop-up box without really knowing what they had agreed to, or when they meant to close the pop-up window. Xupiter is also being bundled along with at least one peer-to-peer file-sharing program. And the toolbar will install itself automatically when Internet Explorer's security settings aren't set to the highest level. |
