encoding question

I have premier 6 and Pinnacle studio 7.15 , for editing video clips for the web I prefer pinnacle. For encoding they both seem weak, can you recommend some stand alone encoders.

I didn't care for cleaner at all, so I have just been using the Windows Encoding Utils
