I didn't used to, but after living basically outside one summer have grown to like the thought.....

I don't really want to go someplace with a bunch of people and live in the dirt for the weekend so much as have my own land with a choice about where I sleep and how i cook. definitely want running water and electric, I don't mind cooking with fire.

say 20 acres with woods etc... when the weather is nice live outside, when the weather sucks live inside... I'm trying to figure it out... we as humans live outside for several 100,000 years :2 cents:

When I was a teenager.... We used to camp out all summer longer. We had trikes - Yamaha three wheelers - and we had a campsite now far from our houses. We worked landscape, made our own money, and would make trips into town for food (and batteries for the boom box) as needed.

Sigh. I married, had a daughter; Very suburbian, very much California girls (who love to shop).

I found some nice land at a reasonable price, my daughter is 30 something.... not my issue and more (BTW daughters are the best!!!) even now i use the grill instead of cooking in the house sometimes...

my wife takes our kids camping each summer leaving me to stay at home alone - very peaceful and relaxing. Just visit them from time to time

I hate camping in a tent, so we bought what turned out to be a 40' travel trailer. I thought it was like 36 or something (based on the model number)...I was wrong. It's huge...bigger than they Tiny Houses I see on TV.

I'm in a camper cooking with propane and a toaster oven. Too cold for a tent.
