Would appreciate any recommendations on who is the best and most cost effective for settimg up a streaming server

Are you asking what software is the best of what. The best and the most widely used are not the same thing and the most cost effective either.

After a server, we have real now and are looking at going to a streaminmg server and want to know who to approach re this.

If you're big pimpin the Akamai and a Quicktime streaming server are as pimp as you can get!

it would be great if the Quicktime plugin was on more computers - the format is the best format for the web - this comming from a Microsoft fan :thumbsup

Looks good what about Cost

If more webmasters weren't so half ass and would start adding quicktime movies to their shit then it would grow much faster. I mean afterall it's the best streaming video player there is and it can be had for free. And if you've see a live MPEG4 stream it is too fucking sweet!
