What they dont mention is that jarod just ate the subway bread with some vegetables, and that way they can legally advertise that he lost wieght on subway. Apperently they paid him a large sum to eat nothing but bread and vegetables for months.....man that must have been boring eating.

You can lose weight eating anything, simply burn more calories each day than you take in, its not rocket science. I knew a guy once that lost 60lbs eating nothing but McDonalds every day. He knew the calorie breakdown of everything on their menu and what how many calories he normally burned in a given day. He just made sure he burned more calories each day than he consumed. Of course, my arugment with him was always that sure he was losing weight, but he was killing his heart in the mean time.

Of course you can. Take a look at Subways nutrition info sometime. Most of their 6" cold cut sandwiches are around 300-400 calories with no more than 7 grams of fat.

Assuming a 2200 calories a day burn, an average guy should be able to eat two footlongs a day + 300 calorie breakfast and lose weight.

The hypothetical dieter won't lose weight very fast, but it will be steady over a course of months.

Subway subs may be low in calories and fat, but they are insanely high in sodium. A footlong Chicken Teriyaki on Italian Herb and Cheese is over 3000 mg of sodium.
