Thinking of getting a cheap one.

We have Synology NASes here in our office, at home, and I've bought one for my father as well.

I haven't needed that much space yet. Just have a 8TB drive with a 8TB backup USB drive.

We use qnap NAS and so fare never had problems been using them since 2012

I have the 8 bay and the 4 bay for local storage. Both very good. The proprietary software is nice as well.

Make sure you buy NAS grade drives or you'll be burning money/swapping drives way too often. Which defeats the purpose.
