Now this will be really hot....no Jerry but still some Awesome Music and Fun

just insane that a bunch of fucking jobless scumbags (present company not necessarily included) follow a band around the world that has basically been releasing the same fucking record for over 30 years. I mean, lets be real here, are they really breaking any new ground musically?

Just a shame that there are THOUSANDS of bands out there that are more innovative, actually trying new things, and NOT just releasing the same old crap again and again to a burnt out subculture that hasn't even noticed, and too many of those bands never get heard. But sure as shit, a fucking boatload of patchouli stinking hippies will show up and camp out to see some guys in their 50s and 60s play the same washed up garbage again and again.

I never understood the attraction? I saw them 2 times, heard hours and hours of bootlegs and even sat thru a Bob Weir concert. There is nothing special on the music level, or lyrically, or even in their persona. I took plenty of drugs to help with show and it made only wish I was seeing someone else. More power to you if you like them, but I could never understand what drew people to them. Bands like the Allman Brothers who are 100x more advanced musically than the dead ever was, I can see their draw. They have ight jams that have a purpose, not like the dead's sloppy go no where Garcia's rants(when he was awake).

I guess everyone has their tastes, but I just will never, never understand them. and all their fans can say is when I say that to them is....."Dude...you its all about the experience"

Ive seen Gregg Allman quite a few times, recently last year at the hyouse Of Blues on Sunset here... love hearing him play that Hammon B3 with the Leslie cabinets., there is no comparison.

The Allman Brothers are NOT southern rock.....38 special, Molly Hatchett....that shit is Southern Rock. The Allman's just happen to be from Macon. They are a blues band if anything.

And yes there is a comparison when it comes to the dead and the allman's. They are the most similair in musical styles as far as free form jams.
