    Best Follow Up Email Ever?..

So, I applied for a mainstream affiliate prog a while ago and they emailed me a few times to follow up - I didn't respond as I had moved on to another project...

    Finally I got this:

Subject: Prayers for Damian Being Sent With Well Wishes
    I had to open it:

    Damian,

So given that I haven't heard back from you after multiple attempts over a couple of weeks - This tells me 1 of 3 things:

    1. I have horrible timing and caught you during a period of time that you are extremely busy, and you simply haven’t had a chance to read my messages or reply.

    2. You have no interest in free tools that can literally give you revenue and increase audience and user engagement with your site.

    3. You have fallen, and are unable to get up.

If by some unfortunate series of events, #3 is in fact the reality, I will pray that someone finds you or that you are able to contact emergency services.

I don’t want to assume the worst, but given your lack of response, I must admit that I am beginning to worry.

If you have not fallen however, and are in good health, I do feel that the opportunity to earn revenue and partner with the #1 rated hiring platform by employers and fastest growing job platform company in the nation is 100% worth at least a 5 minute call.

Especially considering that it is free.

    I pray all is well,
    Blake
I might actually call the guy!..

Not bad, once I saw "Prayers", I would've deleted it as SPAM.

I am working on a new product for YNOT and I asked Jay Kopita to test the sign up process for me. I asked him to put in an original subject line on the demo request form so it would stand out from all of the other tests we did.

His subject line was "I killed someone and need help hiding the body".

      LOL.

One of the good things about GMail is that if it makes it to your main InBox you can be confident it's not spam - I can't remember the last time I had to report anything - You have to check your spam folder every few days to mark a few as 'not spam' - They can be pretty brutal - I have all my domains forwarded to one GMail account and it's by far the best way of of dealing with them...

I called the guy - He is Russian and is actually really bland - I didn't sign up to his prog - Very disappointing - I was looking forward to an entertaining sales pitch...

He probably out sourced the follow up email.

Actually is is quite generic sales text, nothing special. For example, one of most phrases used within affiliate programs reps is "if you make money, we make money too" . No shit, Sherlock.

                  It's a copy-paste email sales copy that's been around for a while

Those were pretty common a few years back. The one that was actually funny had in no. 3. You are being chased by a hippo and are unable to respond, and a gif with something like

The text proposed to help by calling animal services if it's number 3. That got 50% more replies when I stole it for some time :D
