go into IE and set your security for active x to high, so that it gives you a prompt. On 9 out of 10 websites, you click "NO" for the active x (and maybe disable sigs here or click like a motherfucka)

either that, or surf these scumbag websites with opera or nutscrape, browsers that don't bend you over for auto installing bullshit spyware at the drop of a hat
