What happened? Did you have stocks or something? How did you lose it?

SilentKnight 12-15-2019 05:31 AM

I'd just keep working until the govt claimed it all in one form of tax or another.

Klen 12-15-2019 05:35 AM

Dont think i would change anything mayor. Maybe travel more often and that's it.

CurrentlySober 12-15-2019 05:56 AM

The illusion of perfection..."happiness is like a sweater i can put on when I achieve certain goals"...but this is an illusion...you were happiest in your life when you were a kid...you had nothing or next to nothing...no pressure to obtain things and achieve goals...you did not have a girlfriend...you did not have money...you did not have performance related worries...you were just happy...

Is happiness the absense of problems? Is it what remains when you take off the imaginary sweater of perfection that weighs us down and insulates us from feeling happy? Do material things erase our thoughts of unhappiness? Fuck no...they are like sugar, a quick and very temporary fix...

I am going to asia soon and plan on red pilling asian hookers with my philosophy to see if I can form a sex cult...im still working on the details of the cult but I will get a lot of sucky sucky thats for sure...

That is actually key topic of movie "citizen kane", where end message how "kane" was only trully happy when he was kid, when only reading book "rosebun" was his only concern. Also, i discovered recipe for full and permament happiness which does not require $$$

The key to happiness is living in the moment...eliminating all thoughts by realizing that they are not real and that you do not pick them...they are not a part of you or a part of reality...

The present moment is all we ever had and all we will ever have...thoughts are not real...only this moment exists...we lost this superpower as kids...the illusion of perfection took it from us...the lie that material things can make you happy...

A constant battle to be "better" that distracts us from reality and consumes our thoughts and makes us slaves to silly consumer shit...but the child inside us is still alive! We are always the same person, it is just our thoughts that have kidnapped our mind...

The key to happiness is allowing yourself to just exist in the moment and enjoy it...understand that thoughts are not real not only on an intellectual level but also on an emotional one...no thought is real...everything is OK...just allow yourself to exist...

It is going to be a sex cult for sure...

That sounds nice and all, and I'm with you about being happy as a kid, but can you really just live in the moment? As you get older and have more responsibilities, those thoughts go out the window.

Food and shelter is all you need to be happy like a little kid...everything beyond that does not improve your situation and probably made you exchange too much time and happiness to acquire these empty extra bonus points...like likes on facebook...

This does not mean you can not enjoy your job and provide for others...it means that sometimes the illusion takes over our reality and moves in our head and lives our lives instead of us...a mind jack...the present moment is all we have...thoughts are a lie and we do not pick them so they are not us...when you deeply understand this, happiness is low hanging fruit...you are at no disadvantage if you revert to you inner child and enjoy every moment...we just forget who we really are and start to believe our thoughts, this is the main barrier to being happy...

I believe that inner peace is the thing most people need and that joy and pleasure are then but a few steps away...and women can easily find it by giving me lots of sucky sucky...

Is it that simple? So if you have bread and water, a dirt floor and a roof over your head, is that good? Or would you be happier with a nice home with delicious food etc? Or is there a happy medium?

is a ferrari better than a yugo?...at first glance it is much much much better...

but how long did you have to work for the ferrari?...how much time do you spend in the ferrari?...how many years in the office did you have to sacrifice to be in a position to buy a ferrari?...how much did it cost you in a non-financial way?...how much health and family time did you give up?...how much free time do you really have as a rich person?

did the dude driving a yugo, working a little and spending a lot of time on the beach have a better life than you in the office?...is your office better than a beach?...

there is always a trade off...the nice house and cars are just a snapshot in time that do not explain the full journey...you put your own price on your own happiness IMO...

adultinnovation 12-16-2019 02:22 AM

real estate

Den BongaCash 12-16-2019 02:36 AM

I would've spent half of it on real estate as well. The rest I would share between my family members.

a long time ago I decided to live like I had won the lotto. other than different cars, a few bikes and location change, everything would be pretty much the same for me. :2 cents:

this is how I will live.... with a nice garage of course
