Nude or naked?

Question to persons with english as native language :

Whats the difference between nude and naked?

When would you use one of those words and when would you choose to use the other?

The reason why I'm asking is because I will try to write some adult content...

Use both terms, since when you write descriptions you need to use synonyms a lot in order to avoid repeated text. So , beside nude and naked you can also use other words , like listed here:
https://www.thesaurus.com/browse/nude

They both mean exactly the same thing of course, but its the context of the situation, that would make me choose which I would use.

My personal opinion, is that nude is a slightly politer form of the word naked. If we were referring to a tasteful series of 'artsy' images, shot in black and white, I'd refer to them as 'Nudes' - Absolutely zero 'shock value' - Simply just a statement of fact.

However if someone was naked in a shopping center, walking about infront of people and children etc, Id say they were naked. Also a pervert, but Id use the word Naked as opposed to Nude.

Although I attribute a 'shock value' to Naked over Nude, that isnt always the case, and the difference is so minimal that it's hard to say. However, in your context, I expect either will do perfectly well :)

Theyre synomins indeed, but nude sounds more contemporary.

What CS said.
Nude also implies intentional where Naked implies unintentional.
She posed nude for the photographer.
She ran naked into the bedroom.

So witch domain would a native speaker hit?

nakedteens.com
nudeteens.com
teensnaked.com
teensnude.com

Thanks.
I think this version should also have the highest search volume.

Casual language English, nude is not used very often. Can't remember the last time I've heard somebody say it.

personally, when i´m describing one of my scenes, I´m naked in this full nudity scene....

i like being naked and i´m turned on by nudity... although, nothing wrong with being nude, it´s just I prefer to be naked, there´s more sex appeal, it feels naughtier :thumbsup

So this girl is naked : https://maryamkazeem.files.wordpress...-nakedness.jpg

and this girl is nude : https://images.fineartamerica.com/im...ree-miller.jpg

??

In swedish we say "naken" or "i bara mässingen" or "inte en tråd på kroppen" .. that means nude .. or naked.

Fair dinkum, yes. Nude means unclothed and naked means unprotected.

These women are unprotected or vulnerable because they are unclothed.

https://maryamkazeem.files.wordpress...-nakedness.jpg

This woman is nude because she is unclothed and is demonstrating some type of embellishment, in this case her posing. If someone unexpected walked in on her causing embarrassment, she is now considered naked.

Interesting Question. I searched for it in Internet. Nude points to a person while naked point out to things. I hope I am right.
