Are there any crypto curriences that can still be mined?

you are better off just buying coin.

Considering the set difficulty of mining today your old computers are just not worth it. I agree with previous poster, you are better off buying crypto for cash.

Exactly, for crypto mining even when it was just starting, you need to have rigs with top GPU power, otherwise it would not work it.

Most of the time I do stuff because it's how I learn.

I'm interested in mining because I'm interested in crypto currencies. I want to start from scratch and see how things go.

I do my own mining by walking around trying to find a coin on the floor or on the parking meters . . .

Not sure what coins you can still mine, but you may want to look at some used ASIC machines. I saw someone locally selling them for $50 each.. now that the hype is warn off you might be able to buy some cheap and break even at least. Thought about doing it myself just for fun/learning.
