Thru AZ,NM, and CO for GABF, then weather permitting WY, ID, WA and OR then bounce around NorCal to hit some breweries I have yet to visit.

Nice, i watched once documentary where some American dude took a trip on beer road of one german region so it was quite challenging to try beer in each brewery on the road.

been to Eureka? there is a brewery close to there..

I have been to many of them; I am thinking much further north, maybe stop in Santa Rosa at the end.

Yeah, I will probably stop there to visit a friend. Lost Coast brewpub sucks, they have a newer production brewery south of town. I might try there to see if they have a better selection.

That photo is the reason I have never done Oktoberfest; TBH, I hate getting asked to photograph those events. I am not a lager guy, and I can only take a little of marzens.

I prefer to try a little of everything rather than commit to something that sucks; like the average festbier. I also enjoy my beer rather than swill it.

Try a bunch of different beers. If you don't like some, no big deal, plenty of others that you do like and then you can go purchase a full-size.

A few of my favorite beers were found via flight.

Flight or practice beers. And yeah, flights are the only way to go when at a new spot.

They are 4-5 ozs. I have documented over 5,100 beers; no way could I maintain my boyish figure and done 5,100 pints of lager. You have to drink those fast, mine actually taste better as the chill fades.

Honestly, beer road trip in Germany must be really special
