Ooh I’m Ascared!

I don’t get the ha being posted and hidden. PayPal doesn’t usually use inc dot com for email! The English is better than this version of theft. I wonder how many people fell for this

I forwarded it immediately to PayPal, the authorities and several friends that might not be aware of this situation.

The other night I began copying and pasting the texts I’ve gotten from fake credit card companies and the like. Once finished I’ll email them around and post here. How people can fall for a link to byedjomedyibrggftub.visacreditcardauthorization.co m or similar is scary.

I thought people were enlightened to this fraud but I guess not.

They fall for it because of panic , and when you are in panic people dont think. Tho what i find funny with phishing e-mails, how they mostly have bad design template and a lot of spelling / grammar errors. And also due this, i ignore even official mails from paypal just for every case if someone did more effort in creating their phishing e-mail.

I won’t answer emails from my banks or health providers. I’ll go to their website and contact them directly. I explain why and sometimes I’m called paranoid. I tell them better paranoia than identify or credit card theft.

Spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are the key to phishing schemes. And addressing them to Purple Laptop is the stupidest thing to do. The above email is laughable after you read the first two sentences. Sentence structure, spelling and punctuation errors tell you that the email is from Botswana or East Fuckingham or North Virgineeya.

I’ve never fallen for these but in 1992 the first spam I got was from my bank. I filled out the forms on the website but something indicated that they thought I was Pamalian. Tiny print on the bottom of the page had my name and email address. Mr. Pamalian tipped me off and I erased my entries. My computer guru was angry at himself for not warning me about this issue.

They're about as reliable as the actual paypal
