I've sat through shitty all day music festivals to see Metallica, and you can bet your ass I'll do it again. My tickets are for August 8th in LA, can't wait!

man speaking of metallica i watched MTV Icon last nite and it seemed like metallica was "a changed band" and they realized possibly how stupid they've been fucking looking .. i was touched .. i revisited my teen metal days in my memories ... watched the others just like me pay tribute to the "gods of metal"..

then .. BAM .. they played their new song.

Korn stole the nite with their rendition of "One" .. FUCKING BAD ASS.. hats off to Korn .. Limp Bizkit TRIED to do Sanitarium and fucking RUINED it .. and Avril Lavine or whatever FUCKED UP the song she did off of RELOAD .. and lemme tell ya that album sucked to begin with .. geez..

that new metallica song wasn't ALL that bad, however it wasn't like their old stuf... but, i'm willing to bet that they played that song because it'll most likely be the mainstream title track bein played on radio... and all the other songs on the ablum will be more like their old school heavier shit.

For a band who is supposed to represent bad-ass-ness, Metallica is sure a bunch of whiney bitches.

Korn is one of my favorite bands, ever.. and I thought they did a terrible job on one.

Limp Bizkit who was extremely low on my 'listen to this' list, stole the show.

Snoop should be executed for that sad excuse for sad but true, and avril should be executed while sucking snoops dead cock.

Load and Reload were great, as were all the other albums they've ever put out.

The new album will be great.

You will buy it.

You will love it.

Korn tried the hardest MetallicA song, and did ok..
Limp Biz, did ok too,
Snoop should be executed, i agree.

i was most impressed with sum741's opening, that was great. they did a good job. I never liked them prior to this, but they did do a good job. Maybe i was just so amped to seeing this show, that first thing i saw i liked lol

MetallicA's new song, seems to have old school feel to it and heavy riffs, which was great. But James didnt do a very good job singing on that song. Will have to wait for the album or the radio version to really make up my mind.


Jason will be missed, but i can see him returning in few years.
They new guy doesnt seem to fit in, looks wise.

Lets look at what happend with previous mtv Icons Janet and Aerosmith ? NOTHING !! their albums sucked.

I don't like Rob Trujillo's style. Too 'cool'... having his bass hanging down to his knees. He'd be better with fucking Limp Biz.

Out of curiousity i downloaded the Korn perfomance of One during that MTV show.

Its fucking badass! Altho its edited to a 3 mins song its really great to listen to. They did a awesome job on that one.
